Does Anyone Have A Home-made Remedy To Insomnia?
I can’t sleep recently even when i am really sleepy. What can i do? And please try to find something i can make at home to help.
Read a book, works a treat. But don’t watch tv or play on computer in the hour leading up to bedtime, and don’t drink any fizzy drinks, tea or coffee in that time either. Perhaps use the hour to have bath so you feel relaxed and de-stressed. Apparently having a glass of hot milk before bed is good too but ive never tired it as i hate milk! Also, from experience, if you have things on your mind, even if its just little things to remember for the following day, write them down before you go to bed so then you wont be subconsciously trying to remember them when your trying to sleep. Hope this helps!

If you don’t want to use medications, try eating a bowl of non-sugary cereal. Don’t drink any caffeine several hours before bed. Listen to relaxing movies or dim the lights and read for awhile.

OK ‘Total Genius’ lets try to answer your bare bones question. Your ‘Something I can make at home,’ is in reality a selection of steps that fit your personal needs on a 24 hour basis.
I am presuming you are under 25; the key is to get a routine going that both your body and mind understand – in sync. Open up a simple diary of your goings on, stress, stimulants, emotional ups and downs, cell phone stress, gaming, partying. Do you really have sleep insomnia? Sleep disorders? Are you taking anything like melatonin for it?
On average, teens up to mid 20’s need about 8 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Problem is, missing sleep repeatedly affects every part of your life — from relationships with friends, to your ability to concentrate, to your mood. You do not mention anything about these from which we can build on to give you an informed answer.
People tend to forget that the problem starts when you HAVE to get up. So work back 8 hours from there to sleep time. Then go back a further 4 hours to when you need to start your ‘home remedies.’
Does this make sense?
I do suggest that you follow a standard routine to avoid giving your mind surprises and do some detective work about what you do after 6pm every evening.
